Still working on my trusty Pentium II which does not give me the possibility to have USB as boot possibility. Same with my Pentium III laptop. Would like to use my USB stick for booting a live linux but found up to now no usable solutions. Can somebody help me out?
Sure. Just jack up the case and swap out the mobo & p.s. with a new one that DOES support USB boot. Simple fix. Maybe not cheap, but simple. The alternative is to clone the USB stick to a cd and boot to that. Or you could go get a 6 pack and a movie, forget about beating your head against the wall, spend a lot less money and have a lot more fun doing it.
