I'll start right out and admit I am a dreaded newbie. I get PAID to program Accounting Apps for that other OS using Visual Basic. I wrote a database for a local non-profit organization using an Access DB. They would like to put it on the Web. Since the local ISP uses Linux I needed to make it a Linux DB. I found information on Qddb, a Linux Db that did CGI, and bought it. Unfortunately it interfaces with Tcl. At this stage in my life, I have no desire to learn a new language, especially one as obtuse as Tcl. I read a little out of a Tcl primer but it seemed to be written in some obscure Mespotanian dialect. :) Does anyone on this list know of a DB App under Linux that would allow querying and maintaining an Access Db over the Web from Linux? The only other choice is to pay(yech) a Tcl guru to write the necessary script but the n-p doesn't have the money.
