Pinter configuration error There is a missing print filter for printer 'cp1510n_ps'
Sometimes when I print something I get that helpful message shown above, as a popup in XFCE. How do I find what is that missing filter?
There is nothing in the "warn" log. Perhaps this:
<1.4> 2017-04-12 12:08:34 Telcontar org.fedoraproject.Config.Printing 3835 - - (scp-dbus-service.py:32260): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_window_thaw_toplevel_updates: assertion 'window->update_and_descendants_freeze_count > 0' failed
but does not seem related.
it is supported by hplip with these drivers: /usr/share/cups/model/manufacturer-PPDs/hplip-hpps/hp-color_laserjet_cp1514n-ps.ppd.gz /usr/share/cups/model/manufacturer-PPDs/hplip-hpps/hp-color_laserjet_cp1515n-ps.ppd.gz /usr/share/cups/model/manufacturer-PPDs/hplip-hpps/hp-color_laserjet_cp1518ni-ps.ppd.gz
you might try the two filters you are not presently using.
I forgot to mention that the printer prints perfectly. Those files you list are of course installed.
Yes, but one needs to be assigned for your printer. You said you were getting warnings about a missing print filter, perhaps one of the filters you are not using will solve that problem. ppd files are "filters". -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
