In suse 10.3, 11.0 / KDE 3 you can also go to start menu => configure desktop => kde components => file association. If you are using 11.0 / KDE 4, beware! There are programs that are using the kde 4 infrastructure while others are stilll using the kde 3 system. .. in that case you have to configure both the kde 4 and kde 3 parts. Hello, My first attempt to get some help has not been answered, so I try again :
- my application uses file which end in .Mod (that is normal in Oberon/Modula2) - openSuse insist this is an audio file and tells me so. - but this is MY system so I want to change this behaviour.
I have been fooling around with /etc/mime.types but that did not help. Is there an application/tool that I can use?
thank you for any help you can provide,
Klaas Punt
In Konqueror, right click on your file, then in General tab click on the icon next to Type and modify "Application Preference Order"
