Hi all,
Currently (SuSE 6.4), when there are multiple ISDN interfaces defined (ippp*), they all set a default route to their destination when that connection is brought up.
This is undesirable. Take for example the following situation (which is, uncoincidentally, my own :-) ):
This is partly caused by SuSE not providing sound support for fixed IP addresses. My local solution was to trash /sbin/init.d/i4l and write my own ISP connect scripts. I have multiple accounts to take care off (including dialback for work) and I use the 'ipparam' parameter for ipppd to supply the gateway for that interface (activated by /etc/ppp/ip-up). I have an .rc file for each config and my script figures out the rest. Works well for me. Koos Pol ---------------------------------------------------------------------- S.C.
