grub>initrd /initrd
This comes up with an error, "Error 28: Selected item cannot fit into memory" which is a bit strange as I have 1.5GB of RAM and even right at the moment I have 58.5MB free.
|28 : Selected item cannot fit into memory | This error is returned if a kernel, module, or raw file load | command is either trying to load its data such that it won't fit | into memory or it is simply too big. Check that file, perhaps it is broken somehow. Usually, "/boot/initrd" is a symlink, so check the link and the destination. Also, you can try to expand it on a temporary dir, it is gzipped. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
