Hi, I am new to SuSE and I am trying to install the new JDK1.1.6. In the JDK readme it recommends that if your distribution is libc, it should be version 5.44. My questions regarding this are: 1. Do I have to buy the 5.2 SuSE distribution disks to upgrade? 2. If I can down load the 5.44 libc from somewhere--Where can I get it from online, Is there a SuSE version of the correct rpm to do this? 3. Since I need to upgrade the library to use JDK1.1.6, is it recommendable at this point to upgrade to the newer glibc and then download the glibc version of the JDK? Thank you for any assistance, Kerry -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
