Linux Kernel 2.0.33 (soon or even 34) doesn't officially support NTFS yet... you'd have to search for a patch and hope it works.
Okay... But does this mean I must have a FAT partition or not? Just not being able to mount the NT partition isn't the end of the world. My main question here is: can I successfully install and run Linux on the remaining disc space while maintaining access to my NT installation?
Yes, SuSE will isntall direct from the provided CD media. It will need its own partition of course (well.. you CAN use umsdos, but you shouldn't.. =) It will not be upset by the presence of NT on the disk. Booting is a little tricky, but there is a howto on co-booting the two operating systems. -josh -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
