Is this info anhything, that can be usefull in finding the problem with my smart and SuSE10.0 ?
Not to me. You could try this:
rm /var/lib/smart/cache smart update
Does that work?
Cheers,
Leen
Thanks for the reply.
I got this:
# rm /var/lib/smart/cache lajka3:/var/spool/mail # smart update Updating cache... ########################################################################### ########### [100%]
Fetching information for 'Latest KDE 3 enviroment for released SUSE distributions (SUSE_Linux_10.1)'... -> http://software.opensuse.org/download/KDE:/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_10.1/repodata/re pomd.xml repomd.xml
...
Computing transaction...smart update
Hmm, looks good to me.
Yes also to me, if the "Computing transaction...smart update" went off all had been good, but it didn't.
What does 'smart upgrade' do now?
Hanging as always.
If it still doesn't work, maybe it's time for a bit more force:
rm -r /var/lib/smart/* smart channel --add http://software.opensuse.org/download/KDE:/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_10.1/KDE:KDE3.rep... smart update smart upgrade
Mind the line wrapping, "smart channel add http://...KDE3.repo" is 1 (one) line.
I did the above, and all went ok. Now it seems like smart again has gone in a circle: Updating cache... #################################################################################### [100%] Channels have 7835 new packages. Saving cache... lajka3:~ # smart upgrade Loading cache... Updating cache... #################################################################################### [100%] Computing transaction...
Cheers,
Leen
So Leen, it looks like its the same situation as all the other times. Does it mean anything, that I'm trying to use 10.1 stuff for 10.0 retail ? /Erik -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
