Hello,
I'm new to the list and have just installed Leap 42.3 64bit with GNOME 3.20.2 on a Lenovo laptop.
The laptop is intended for use in remote areas with low internet bandwidth. In order to reduce internet traffic as much as possible, I would like to prevent the system from checking for updates altogether when it's online in low-bandwidth areas.
uninstall package kit.
Is that really necessary, just as a result of using gnome?
What package should I install to be able to configure the GNOME Software Updater as described here in 10.4.3: https://www.suse.com/documentation/sled-12/book_sle_deployment/data/sec_upda... And here in 9.4.3 Configuring the GNOME Software Updater: https://doc.opensuse.org/documentation/leap/startup/single-html/book.opensus... Currently, configuration is not possible since the option Applications > System Tools > Settings > *Software Settings* is not present on my system.
