Have recently acquired a new pocket PC (iPaq612c), and, although it runs the wrong OS, it's not a bad device. I would really like to be able to sync/copy stuff to/from it using Suse11, but after lots of googling and a couple of messages to this group, have had no replies, so apparently it aint that easy... :-( But my current problem is networking. When I plug the iPaq in to my PC via USB to charge it, it kills the networking within Suse. More specifically, I believe it is killing DNS, as the networking is still there, but trying to ping anything by name, give a "can't find" error (or similar). That's ok (well, not really), but the main pain is that even if I then disconnect it, I can't get my networking back until I reboot... Have tried restarting network and xinetd, but it won't work until a reboot.... How can I do a total restart of networking without rebooting? And also, if anyone has any ideas about getting a PPC accessible via Suse, that would be GREAT!!
