Hello:
I have openSUSE 11.2 and libreoffice 3.3.2.2 packages (downloaded from repos when they were available).
When I start any libreoffice application as usual, the program shows the splash screen and hangs. If I start it from command line, eg oowriter program, it gives neither any error nor other message.
Have you tried using the full path?
:~> /usr/bin/oowriter
Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately using full path command doesn't change anything.
If I login as another user the program runs as expected.
I have renamed my ~/.libreoffice directory but it did not fix the problem. I guess it is related to my home folder but I don't know what to look for. Any idea?
It does sound like a permissions problem, but I don't know what else to suggest.
I ran "chown -R myusername ./" in my home dir but it hasn't fixed the problem. I experienced a little bit and found if I use eg. sawfish window manager, the problem disappears. So it has to do something with KDE3, the desktop manager I use. Other idea?
