12.3 running a Samba 4 DC and file server Hi everyone. I have a share with no ACL set. We use cifs to mount the share on other 12.3 clients which are joined to the domain. When a file is created it looks like this: -rwxrwxr-x+ This suggests that group members can edit it. They can't. In real life, it behaves as: -rw-r--r-- just as the windows security tab for the same file suggests. I know that ACL's are a nightmare when converting between posix and windows flavours, but Is there any way we can get a 'nearer the truth' Linux file listing when ACL's have to be set?
