$ chmod a+x freac-1.1.7-linux-x86_64.AppImage $ sudo ./freac-1.1.7-linux-x86_64.AppImage

No. Just download it into a convenient folder, eg. ~/bin, change the permissions/ownership if necessary, and fire it up.
