[opensuse] Gnome 3.6 (in 12.3) - revert to notification panel in Gnome 3.4 (12.2)

Is there any way to get back notification panel as it was in 12.2? In 12.3 it shifts the whole screen up when opened. And it is SL-O-O-O-W. This effectively makes it unusable to me. In 12.2 it was small overlay on top of other windows. Fast and useful.
