I'm really tired of this happening on each X login. zypper se knotify 4 finds nothing. rpm -q --whatprovides knotify4 finds nothing. yast search for knotify4 also finds nothing. file /usr/bin/knotify4 describes the file, but says nothing about why it is where it is. What's the secret to finding out what rpm is responsible for the presence of a binary file? Short of deleting the file manually, which will be resurrected on next update of whatever apparently secret package put it there, how do I make it never get run? -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
