I am creating a reference system that we use to build a set of tools against that are sensitive to changes in the kernel. I need to be able to build the tools for each incremental patch as they are released. I need to download both the source and binary versions of the patch.
I am starting with the SLES 9 SP1 build -- both x86 and AMD -- (call this Build-X). I then clone the system and add a single kernel patch to it and call it X.1. When another patch is released, I take the X.1 and apply the patch and store this as X.2. I continue to do this so I have a series of baseline kits up to X.n.
What I would like to know is what kernel patches have been released since SLES 9 SP1 and which do I download. So far, I have come up with the following that I believe are the only kernel-patches I need to download so far and apply to the baseline SP1:
Name Last modified Size kernel-default-2.6.5-7.111.19.i586.rpm 13-Dec-2004 16:53 [..] Is this correct?
No, this is for SLES9 GA, not SLES9 SP1. There is no kernel update for SLES9 SP1 yet.
