This sounds like a hardware problem to me. Perhaps a cache or memory problem ? I once had a 486 that had a similar problem, random gcc failures. I disabled the L2 cache and things compiled just fine. Another virtually identical machine had no problems with L2 cache enabled. Another thing to look at is the memory/cache timing settings in bios, perhaps they are a bit aggresive ? john. drew@adapco.com wrote:
