Is suse a.out linux or ELF? What do those two mean?
a.out and ELF are binary types, ELF being the modern standard and what 950f the binaries you'll find on the web are. It is probably a good idea to have a.out support compiled as a module, just in case you encounter an old app that is a.out only. Some types of unix are still a.out based, like BSDi, and possibly some others, but it's not really used in linux anymore. -- ==================================================================== Michael Lankton <A HREF="http://tasteslikechicken.ml.org"><A HREF="http://tasteslikechicken.ml.org</A">http://tasteslikechicken.ml.org</A</A>> ==================================================================== - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
