Last year I was running beryl, a fork of compiz which allowed one-click control of the desktop - one click to turn on the beryl desktop for a demo, one click to turn it off, e.g. to run an OpenGL game which doen't play well with compositing. IOW I could easily toggle between the normal KDE desktop and the beryl cube. I'd hoped the merge of compiz and beryl would bring the cool features of beryl to compiz, but it doesn't seem to have happened. Sad to say, but it looks as though compiz is still as awkward to deal with as it ever was.
Hey Joe, Actually that's one of my problems too. Let's say not playing games with OpenGL ;-) (public mailing list, you know) but for example Google Earth is impossible to run. When working I'm pretty fine with the standart desktop with couple of modifications. -- Sergey Mkrtchyan, PhD Student @ Department of Physics & Astronomy, Faculty of Science, University of Waterloo -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
