Was just wondering if anyone has successfully installed windows 10 as a guest os in virtualbox. I have windows 7 running quite happily and I have received notification that I can upgrade to windows 10.
Initial attempts failed with windows reporting cpu not compatible. After an update this is now saying that the virtualbox graphics adapter is not compatible.
yes, you have to choose windows 8.1 in the os type in virtualbox and all is ok
I just did :-)

I am running windows 7 (64) Home Premium and I had changed the os type to windows 10 (64). Anyway, I tried changing the os type to windows 8.1 (64) and get the same incompatibility problem. Display The VM display is set to 128MB Video Memory. Scale factor 100% System The motherboard base memory is 2GB with I/O APIC enabled. The processor 2 CPU with execution cap 100% Acceleration is set to KVM with Hardware Virtualization VT-x/AMD-V and Nested Paging enabled. Virtualbox itself is version 5, 0.2_SUSE r102095 Is there anything I've missed? Are you running a different version of Virtualbox (whether younger or older)? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
