(Apologies in advance for adding to an OT thread) As far as free goes, you probably can't do better than the durable Pegasus mail client: http://www.pmail.com/ (Though David Harris doesn't think much of open source, he does express some interest in the writing of a Linux Pegasus mailer.) In the shareware/commercial realm, an OS/2 refugee like myself would have to mention the Windows version of PMMail: http://www.pmmail2000.com/ The most popular pure windows mailer seems to be Eudora, which baffles me as the dang thing goes kerflooie more often than is normal even for windows apps. Avoid this one. --Kevin On Fri, 23 Mar 2001 14:39:12 -0500, Richard Witt wrote:

I am completely fed up with Outlook Express as a mail reader. Can anyone recommend a replacement to use on my Win98 machine at work? Unfortunately I am unable to use SuSE on my desktop here at work :-(
Hi Dale,
You might try PC-Pine:
