Please install pavucontrol (or pavucontrol-qt).
After that, start pavucontrol (or pavucontrol-qt) and check the status under Input Devices, Output Devices, and Configuration, and try making any necessary corrections.
Best Regards.
Hi Masaru, thanks for the suggestion. But no luck I'm afraid. It, and the KDE speaker control list the output device as a USB Audio Headset. But I don't have a headset plugged in, just the built-in laptop speakers. Yast's Sound module says the audio device is a Canon Lake PCH caVS. No mention of "speakers" anywhere. I'll see if I can find a headset with an RCA plug, maybe the headphone jack in the docking station is turned on? The volume sliders are modulating visually with the sound I'm playing in Firefox, but nothing from the speakers. No, they're not muted. For the record again, nothing was changed here except the in-place upgrade from 15.5 to 15.6. And it worked before. I can't do zoom/teams meetings now! Regards, Lew
