Ah-ha! Yes, it had died. I thought it might be syslogd had stopped, but I didn't have a clue how to check it and what to do! Hi
My server's current uptime is 10 days, although there are no logs since Jan 3rd (8 days ago). All the files in /var/log seem to just stop at just after 20:32 on Jan 3rd, and I can't see any reason for this. Apart from that, my system is working fine!
Any suggestions as to what could be wrong?
Has your syslogd died? A quick check is ``rcsyslog status'' If it's dead, just restart it with ``rcsyslog start'' You may also have run out of space in /var filesystem. df will show you the available space. -Kastus
Thanks,
