Why does anybody have /boot in a spearate partition these days? MY kernels and initrds are on the root filesystem, where the installer put them.
Ditto - haven't had /boot on a separate partition since the it had to be within the first 1024cylinders. I'm guessing maybe you need it if your root is on btrfs or some such?
No, for btrfs it is much better to have everything except home in the same partition, or you lose the possibility of rebooting to a previous snapshot. However, maybe we still need a separate /boot for xfs. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.1 x86_64 at Telcontar)
