I am running the 64bit version of openSUSE 10.2. I use kmail, set up as an IMAP client, for reading mail. I just updated to the latest version of kdepim3 from
http://software.opensuse.org/download/KDE:/KDE3/openSUSE_10.2/x86_64/
This gives me kontact version 1.2.5, which includes version 1.9.7 of kmail. It also says it is KDE release 3.5.7 "release 10.1" Not sure what release 10.1 means as I am using 10.2.
After this upgrade all new messages remain in the inbox. This occasionally happened before, but was easily solved as I could highlight all the messages and then press Ctl-J and all the messages would be filtered into the proper folders. Or else I could restart kontact and the messages would get filtered. Neither of those solutions works. If I highlight all the messages and press Ctl-J, then it moves one message and stops. Thus I can filter all the messages by pressing Ctl-J for each message; not really a solution.
I posted a bug report on the kde bugzilla. There was a response that I should update again as that bug has been fixed. Unfortunately I do have the latest version of kdepim3 ( 3.5.7-7.1-x86_64.rpm) I can find, and it is dated may 18, 2007.
My kmail filters move the messages from one IMAP folder to another IMAP folder. Anyone else having this problem or know of a solution?
I tried upgrading to the KDE 3.5.7 on a 32bit machine. Had the same problem with kmail both on imap and pop accounts. I sent in a bug report which I think has been ignored because I had used the wrong account name. Anyway, suffice it to say that I've just now downgraded to KDE 3.5.5 and everything is working as before. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
