It is from 11.2 (I don't have it) but that is probably the reason that update removed it. But in my fully updated 11.3 I have sax2-tool installed which should according to the info do sax2. I could not have it running though. It is version 8.1-596.4-i585 coming from opensuse-11.3.11.3-1.71 repository. No idea why it does not show up in e.g.konsole. Somebody does seem to have not given up on the idea. I am not able to solve this riddle, really.
