Mathematica (fonts) problem solved

Earlier I posted a query to the list about fonts and Mathematica. I received the following response from Support at Wolfram. I am not running xfs so implemented steps 3, 4 and 5 of the reply. Trivial really. Hope this helps those Mathematica users out there.
