Hi, I've strange issue. I have 11.3 / KDE4.4 and 11.1 / KDE3 installed on the same machine (I update both regularly). I'm not sure when it started but a couple of days ago I noticed that when I insert CD in the drive, 11.3 does not recognize the media inserted. Today I just tried the same CD on the same drive with 11.1 - absolutely no problem... This is syslog on 11.3, when the CD is inserted: Aug 6 15:47:06 <...> kernel: [ 727.395021] sr 4:0:0:0: [sr0] Unhandled sense code Aug 6 15:47:06 <...> kernel: [ 727.395025] sr 4:0:0:0: [sr0] Result: hostbyte=DID_OK driverbyte=DRIVER_SENSE Aug 6 15:47:06 <...> kernel: [ 727.395029] sr 4:0:0:0: [sr0] Sense Key : Medium Error [current] Aug 6 15:47:06 <...> kernel: [ 727.395034] Info fld=0xd68 Aug 6 15:47:06 <...> kernel: [ 727.395035] sr 4:0:0:0: [sr0] Add. Tried same CD on laptop with Windows XP - no problem... The problem actually started with different CD, and I thought it is just too old and has defects. This one has been written today.
