whoa!!!!! Twinview, (without xinerama) allows you to use both monitors (heads) for the same desktop (like xinerama) except that you have FULL OpenGL hardware acceleration across both monitors (providing it is a single "dual-headed" nvidia card) The relevent information is in the Readme file also for the driver install. If you have the driver installed from YOU, then you simple need to edit the XF86Config file for "Twinview" like this Section "Device" BoardName "GeForce FX 5800" Driver "nvidia" Identifier "Device[0]" Option "TwinView" #Screen 0 Option "SecondMonitorHorizSync" "30-94" Option "SecondMonitorVertRefresh" "50-160" Option "MetaModes" "1024x768, 1024x768" Option "Rotate" "off" VendorName "NVidia" EndSection If you use the same monitors (recommended) then you don't need to add another monitor section either, you just put the second monitors (copy from the monitor section of the one that you have working) hsync and vsync and specify the metamodes viola! UT2004 will run across both monitors without problem! On Wednesday 16 March 2005 04:19 pm, David Bottrill wrote:

Speaking of dualhead, how did you get that to work? I have the 6800 GT. But I cant seem to get it to see both monitors properly. Any Suggestions?
If you go to the Nvidia web site and search for dual head there are 2 documents, one for working in Cinerama mode where you have one large desktop, in this mode 3D acceleration is not possible.
The second is classic, where each screen is as good as a separate session windows can't dragged across from one monitor to the other but 3D acceleration does work. This is the mode I use, If you are interrested I can send you my XF86Config file, unfortunately sax2 can't handle this in 9.2 you have to hack it manually but the help on the nvidia site is very good.
