I'm sick of running a closed OS on my phone, and using closed apps. At the very least I'd like to flash it with Cyanogen mod or some such... though I'd rather have Firefox OS or WebOS.
Any suggestions? I'm tired of this broken, spying mess from Verizon. I know this isn't exactly openSUSE specific, but I can think of no better community than my own to answer this quest.

Roger,
You did not mention what kind of Smart phone, model...
Anyway, there a few projects outside openSUSE community like Android, CynogenMod, Replicant, http://shr-project.org/trac , Tizen, Mer, Meego, even Ubuntu making their own space on smartphone niche. May find your best adaptation for your hardware.

O, you are right. Motorola Droid 2 on Verizon. The Ubuntu for android could be interesting. I'd bet it wouldn't be too hard to redo into an openSUSE for Android. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
