GIMP-Print & CUPS

As I was looking over the CUPS installation files in Yast2, I notice there is about 25mb of printer drivers also. Are these printer drivers the same ones that come with GIMP-Print, which also uses CUPS or is GIMP-Print a whole other world of drivers specifically for GIMP? CUPS sounds very nice and I like the sound of level of control you have, but GP sounds good too and very beneficial when using GIMP!
