[opensuse] 11.4 and codecs

This is not a new issue, but I've never been sure of the best way to do this on previous installs. What is the best way to install additional codecs on openSuse, and specifically 11.4? At the moment I need mp3 and mplayer, perhaps others but not sure. Is the Unofficial Guide to openSuse 11.4 ( http://opensuse-guide.org/index.php) a reliable place to do this via their one-click method?
