There is a dail up networking program like in windows for linux. You should be able to connect to just about any ISP. I suggest you have a daul boot system, that way there is always windows as a backup till you get your linux system configured. I have used EzPPP, an X windows program and it worked well for me. There are others, like Xisp and Kppp. The EzPPP Project - tool to automate PPP sessions <A HREF="http://www.serv.net/~cameron/ezppp/"><A HREF="http://www.serv.net/~cameron/ezppp/</A">http://www.serv.net/~cameron/ezppp/</A</A>> by the way SuSE 5.3 is out now Good Luck === john bitar cruel@rocketmail.com ---Robert Farquhar <112063.2652@compuserve.com> wrote:
Greetings! I am a Linux newbie and I am planning to change my
current operating system
to SuSE 5.2. I have an e-mail account with AOL and one with CompuServe. For those of you that use Linux, do any of you use AOL or CompuServe as a provider? I asked both companies if they had interface software for Linux and neither has. Do you use a Windows emulator (Wabi?)? Is there an Internet provider out there that is Linux friendly? If so, do they have nodes throughout the US? I'll need to log in via a 202 area code. Thanks in advance for your help!
