Howdy,
I'm just wondering, why is it that the SuSE 7.1 for PPC has only 1000 packages, vs. x86's 2000?
Are half of all Linux apps not compilable on PPC (I find that quite hard to belive)? Or did SuSE just not think it was worth the effort? Are they too short handed in their PPC department?
What do you wish ? SuSE Linux 7.1 for PPC has 6 !! CDs. There is really no reason to worry about. And yes, there are a lot of packages which are Intel specific or doesn't make sense on PPC or other architectures.
