All, Wolfgang,
I Updated from thunderbird 17 to thunderbird 24 and the folder-pane (left side window containing mail accounts and mail folders) looks like it has a gray-transparent overlay. The color of the folder pane background (with my theme) is #4B4B4B. My thunderbird uses the default theme, but the background color set in about:config is dark (#090D14) with white text. This gray overlay in TB 24 makes my account and folder names very hard to read since the text is white. How do I turn this off? I have searched colors in about:config and I cannot find a way to turn this overlay off.
I have downgraded back to TB 17 to get a readable setup back. How do I turn this shading of the folder-pane off in TB 24?
Probably this should be posted to Some Thunderbird list. But I did find this complaint on the Arch Linux list which might be helpful. https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/36979 See the 5th reply, It suggests there is a background image being displayed in that pane. And that page lead to this page which also had some hints. http://infinite-josiah.blogspot.com/2013/02/thunderbird-ui-concept.html That's what you get for skipping a bazillion intermediate Thunderbird releases. ;-) -- _____________________________________ ---This space for rent--- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
