Hi, I figured out finally how to find the .xsession-errors file. Here is the readout, I hope that it shows what you are looking for. If not, repost with further instructions.
There is nothing suggesting anything with awesome just KDE bloat. Try to disable plasma desktop.
But how do you try to start awesome ?

I log out of KDE and when the KDM login screen comes up, I select awesome from the choices of available desktops. Then I insert my username and password, hit enter, and voila, nothing works and I am right back to the KDM login screen after an intervening attempt to start awesome. I don't know how to disable plasma desktop. I thought that by selecting awesome in the list of desktops, it would be chosen and not KDE. In effect, KDE would be disabled in favor of awesome. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
