I'm observing long delays in the list. Mail from the list are taking up to 3 hours to be posted. On gmail it is worse, they are not even arriving. Yesterday gmail seems to have throttled us. As 75% of our subscribers are coming from gmail this has lead to a lot delays in deliveries. Also for other providers. We've increased the number of simultaneous deliveries and today the delays are gone, so has the throttling it seems. So why should it affect people not using GMail? Cheers, Vojtěch
It's the internet time warps. Internet routing is not a straight line from point A to point B. It's possible to have any number of steps [ servers ] in between. Depending on traffic it's possible that your e-mail gets stuck in a slow server for a time. Or, sometimes they just get "stuck" in a server for a while. And, once in a while a slow e-mail will get passed by a reply on a shorter/faster path. Time warps. -- A cat is a puzzle with no solution. Cats are tiny little women in fur coats.
