Sound and SuSE 10,0

Greetings, I am just curious,,, Has anyone here experienced a sound issue with 10 on more that say 8 PCs, all different specs? (sis, via, intel) Here at Pinnacle Micro in SA we use MSi Mainboards, and components. The sound is detected and configured correctly, I check the order of initialization and it looks good. But when KDE or Gnome starts there is a problem. I have solved this by adding an rcalsasound restart in the boot.local on each machine. Surely there is something else that loads after the sound that causes this... I wonder if my guess is right! Chadley
