How can I tell if a process is dead ? Reason being that I started yast1 todo an update of my server and it did start doing this but now it has been applying groff.rpm For about 17 minutes. I've checked in top and the rpm process cpu is at 99.9 %? What should I do, Kill the Yast1 and start again or just keeping waiting...? Luck is my game ;-) Dre :) tia -----Original Message----- From: Prengel, Ralf [mailto:ralf.prengel@comline.de] Sent: 27 June 2002 13:42 To: 'arawak' Subject: AW: [SLE] Mac address

ftp.gwdg.de download all files you need next rpm -F --verbose or use yast1 to install the packages Suse changed very importend parts of the configuration between 7.1 and 8.0. So it s really possible that the update causes problems.
