I wanna use dual CPU(PII 350 or 400), 128MB Ram and 13GB Harddisk for my Web Server. But I scare that the Web Server can't be serviced for co-current 100 users. I guess the bottleneck will be exist on IDE controller. I haven't enough money to buy U2W SCSI Controller and Harddisk.
Can anyone give me some suggestion ?
There's no reason that 100 users can't be connected simultaneously. You could serve 100 concurrent users with a 486. What kind of content are you serving? If it's mostly static pages and a little bit of PERL CGI, you're *wasting* horsepower. -- -=|JP|=- (Resident GNUbie) Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | http://www.atipa.com /\\ Kansas City, MO, USA | 816-241-2641 _\_V -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
