Hello,
I setup a Suse box to join an AD domain and set up a share on the Suse
box,
but I am not sure how to have the samba share authenticate users via the
AD.
Does anyone have any pointers on how to do this?
Don't know if it is the right way, but I setup all my mappings to this:
smb://AD_Domain\user_name@server/share
For example on of my bookmarks in Konqueror is:
smb://vims%5Ce515421@sfile2/TechServices/
(The %5C is equal to a backslash.)

That looks interesting. Do you set that up in smb.conf or somewhere else?
I actually have it as bookmarks in Konqueror.
Hi list, - but as "bookmarks in Konqueror" one cannot access/edit a file directly from within, say, OpenOffice. You'd have to associate an -odt file with OO and hence doubleclick etc., to launch OO with a particular file as an argument?
