Adam: I have included an attached file which is my startup script for OSS. You need to change the path to soundon and soundoff bu changing the SOUND_PATH variable at the top of the script.. Then put it in /sbin/init.d/. The begining of the file there are four links that you must make cd /sbin/init.d/rc2.d/ ln -s ../sound S20sound ... Open /etc/rc.config and add this to the bottom. # # Start the sound services provided by OSS. A value of yes indicates # starting the service and a value of no indicates stopping the service # START_SOUND="yes" Now oss should start on bootup. Christopher T.
