Peter W. Merritt [02.10.2013 06:04]:
I have not been able to get sssd to connect to my clearos openldap server. Packet dumps on the server do not show any traffic on port from the opensuse client. I had this working using the yast2 ldap client app previous versions of opensuse. My attempts at manual config have not yielded any progress, normally I can get it working manually. Anyone else get sssd working with openldap? Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Can post my configs if needed. Thanks in advance.
Hi Peter, I don't get sssd to work with a SUN LDAP server either. It does not matter whether I enable or disable TLS, port 389 or 636 - no authentication possible. I uninstalled sssd and configured everything manually. The config created by YaST's "LDAP client" on a 12.2 system will work on 12.3 also.
