greetings.
i've been trying all afternoon to find some sort of way to establish a masquerade envelope in /etc/sendmail.cf for suse-7.2, which based on the default suggests that i need to rebuild sendmail.cf, which is fine -- but i can make no sense of the /usr/share/sendmail/cf/'s .mc files -- generic-linux.mc is exactly six lines long. i'm finding all manner of unexpected things, or rather not finding expected things.
suseconfig seems pretty useless for this, and i need to do a masquerade envelope so as to preserve my domain, which is hosted elsewhere, while hosting outgoing mail locally.
anyone know what the trick is to this with suse, or ought i nuke suse's sendmail entirely and build my own from scratch?
Check out /etc/mail/genericstable. I would run SuSEconfig after the change and rcsendmail restart as root. -- Joe & Sesil Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Web Address: www.mydestiny.net/~joe_morris "All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen." --Ralph Waldo Emerson
