adabas IS included, read on:
You receive a CD, a CD and only a CD. A CD. Is it clear?
Instructions are printed on the CD label: put cd in, run Patch CD module (from Yast2 modules|Software). Then something very similar with YOU will appear, select so_base, and so_en packages, and that's it!
My first problem was getting that to run - once I did I got the things installed ( p.s. Ignore the Size = 0.59MB for the SO packages - a bit missleading when you are looking for large files )
after that, I looked on my disk and adabas (Personal Edition, single user, 3 concurent connections) was installed on the hardisk in /opt/adabas in addition to /opt/StarOffice
Previous downloads of StarOffice had Adabas as an extra package - I said I had not found it <g> There is NO mention of it on the CD Cover so I had not noticed the 'extra' directory was already installed - I use Firebird anyway so it did not actually bother me that I could not find it.
So you don't do anything special to install it as it's included in so* packages.
Installing on the KDE Menu? I've created a desktop Icon, but now I would like to create the list like OpenOffice on the menu ? -- Lester Caine ----------------------------- L.S.Caine Electronic Services
