It is the standard *nix behaviour. Nothing said, all is well, ie, nothing important to say.
I've been using Unix since 1976, so I think I'm comfortable with recognizing 'standard unix behavior.' The difference in the way online update used to work and how it works now is what threw me.
So how do I know the difference between patches that need to be installed and the ones that are already installed?
