However all the addresses are there. They were copied over from the 9.3 server.
As a test, I've just installed bind on an 11.1 virtual machine and then copied across all the zone files and named.conf from my 9.3 system. After starting up bind on the virtual machine, and then checking for known hosts under my domain, it returned the expected results. Checking the zone files with named-checkzone from bind on 11.1 also returned an "OK" result. So, given the above, I'd hazard a guess that there's something wrong with the zone file that makes bind 9.5.0 refuse to use them, but bind 9.3.2 ignores the error and "works"[0].
Any suggestions?
As Per says, post a copy of the zone file so any errors can be spotted and the fixes given.
Thanks again for your help.
[0] for some value of works which may vary between "returns correct results" to "doesn't return anything".
