There are no drivers on the smart start cd's. Do you have any error messages or panics ? If no error messages try taking out some ram or running the memory tests Andrew -----Original Message----- From: Greg Freemyer [mailto:freemyer@NorcrossGroup.com] Sent: Monday, July 01, 2002 11:01 AM To: James.Rocks@equant.com; suse-linux-e@suse.com Cc: Barbara Freemyer Subject: re: [SLE] Linux Install on Conmpaq Proliant 5000 Server
Hi,
I am using SuSE 8 which works fine on my own workstation but locks up early in the install process on a Proliant 5000 ... it's a dual P200 (pro I think) with 512Mb memory and a couple of SCSI disk arrays (thinking of making it 1 array with 4, 5 if I can figure how to swap the enclosure, 9GB HD's in a RAID 5 array). I'm using the Pro edition, not server, which I can't afford (particularly since the machine is at home) :-)
Any ideas?
Thanks
