An article in Linux Mag UK describes SMB client browsing using xSMBrowsers software. It mentions that the precondition is that smbclient, smbmount, smbumount and nmblookup are installed. I can't find any of these packages in the YAST2 list (except of course smbclient). I did however, find a package called LinNeighborhood that I installed, but only get a query error when I try to browse. In th prefs program tab of LinNeighborhood, I find the missing packages listed, but whether this shows that they are installed or just needed, is a mystery to me. Does anyone on the list know anything about setting up an SMB client for a home LAN and also has enough patience to deal with a Linux newbie? Please help. I really would like to get this going. I am a former Mac user, trying to convince my Win using friends and family of the blessings of Linux ;-) Cheers, Brian
